Shipping policy

U.S. Orders

We offer FREE ground shipping to U.S. addresses on orders $35 or more. (This special offer may end without notice, and does not apply to bulk/wholesale orders).

You can pick up your order from our home studio for free most days! We're located in outer SE Portland, and require you make an appointment before stopping by.

Most items are shipped within 1-2 days of receiving your cleared payment, either standard UPS Ground (4-10 business days), USPS Ground (4-10 business days), or Priority Mail (1-3 days). You’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number when we’re shipping your order.

Packages may be left on doorsteps or unsecured locations, as the delivery person sees fit. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Shipping items to a work address that you will be at during the day is often a good idea.

International Orders (Outside the U.S.)

International orders are shipped using GlobalPost. Delivery dates and tracking info are usually unavailable for international orders, and often take about 8-21 days to arrive, but can sometimes take 2-3 months.

All duties and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer, though some orders may have the option of prepaying customs fees for a flat rate. We can not legally ship your package as a gift.

IF YOU ARE SENDING A GIFT TO SOMEONE OUTSIDE THE USA:

They will be responsible for paying customs fees upon arrival unless you select a shipping option which includes prepayment of customs fees. Many gift recipients refuse to pick up packages with fees due, so they will be returned minus the postage.

Wholesale Orders:

Wholesale and large orders are usually shipped within 1-3 weeks (or much longer during November & December, or if containing back-ordered items, or more than 100 pieces), via UPS Ground. Payment must be received prior to shipping. Wholesale orders are not eligible for free shipping offers.

Packaging

Our packaging is fully recyclable/compostable! (A few orders may still include plastic packaging while we use up the last of our supply, or to reuse packaging sent to us.) Please recycle or compost all packaging when you're through with it.

Germany's Packaging Act "VerpackG" imposes requirements on online retailers selling to buyers in Germany. The Packaging Act promotes recycling and reuse of packaging materials (e.g. cardboard boxes, tape, and bubble wrap).

Bread and Badger is registered at the Packaging Register of the Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Foundation Central Agency Packaging Register – ZSVR) with registration number DE5191298342161. My Dual System Licensing partner for the collection, sorting & recycling of the packaging is ACTIVATE by RECLAY.

 As a consumer please ensure that all received packaging is separated, reused and/or disposed of in the right recycling containers, at home or locally.
